one-on-one services for adolescents and adults

group therapy

Group therapy is a great option for adults and adolescents. I run separate groups for ages 18 and up.  Groups for your teen(s) are effective if your child is homeschooled, unschooled, or enrolled in a virtual or hybrid school setting. This is also an option for those are enrolled in public schools. Many students are not receiving any counseling services at school because schools do not allocate adequate funding or other resources towards mental wellness and social emotional learning.

 

Group therapy allows for participants to come together with peers they don't know but find themselves having a lot in common with. In the group setting, participants learn and grow from each other as I facilitate the journey for everyone. Virtual group therapy lends itself to a level of comfort that one has from being in their own space and healing through the added benefit of connection with others. I also utilize art therapy techniques in group therapy settings.

brainspotting intensives

Brianspotting is an amazing form of therapy and you can read more about it on the 'therapies' page. I offer brainspotting in many forms including regular individual sessions, open and closed group formats as well as individual and group brainspotting intensive sessions. Intensives are very effective in healing trauma quickly as a result of a recent crisis situation or a long held trauma. These sessions last between 2 to 6 hours for one day or over a period of days.
